Mountain rescuers rescued a Czech tourist: She couldn’t handle the hike to Veľký Choč

A rescue helicopter was taking a 36-year-old Czech tourist from Veľké Choč on Sunday morning. The Mountain Rescue Service (HZS) informed about it on its website.

The woman was alone on the red hiking trail below the peak of Veľké Choč, and after several falls she did not dare to continue the hike due to fear and dizziness. Mountain rescuers, after receiving a call on the emergency line 112, requested the cooperation of the crew of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.

“After the stopover at Donovaly, the crew brought on board rescuers from the Veľká Fatra HZS Regional Center. The woman was evacuated from the field by air and transported to Malinô Brdo. Here, mountain rescuers examined a subsequently transported to Donovaly by an HZS all-terrain vehicle, from where she continued at her own request accompanied by a friend“, she said about the intervention of the HZS.
