The launch of Nvidia’s latest high-end graphics cards, the Geforce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, is eagerly awaited. These want to set new standards with increased performance and modern AI features such as the upscaling technology DLSS in version 4. But even before sales start on January 30th, there are increasing indications that the availability of the new models is likely to be severely limited. Tight production and strict supply restrictions could make purchasing a challenge – and reminiscent of previous problematic launches.
