On the night from Sunday to Monday (January 20), fog must be expected in the entire territory of Slovakia. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) therefore issued warnings of the first level. He informed about it on his website.

As specified by SHMÚthe occurrence of freezing fog with visibility of 50 to 200 meters is expected in all regions. Experts said reduced visibility poses a potential hazard to traffic activities.

“The occurrence of fog with the above visibility is common at the given time of year and area, but it can cause minor damage,” they added. The warnings are provisionally valid from 19.00 until Monday (January 20) 10.00.
