The councilors (Rede), () and () plan to form a kind of “clique” in the Chamber of Deputies to work together on topics that touch on the three’s specialties: sustainability, urbanism and active mobility.

The trio, who are long-time friends, are studying the formation of an as-yet-unnamed parliamentary front, along the lines of “right to the city” or “São Paulo possible”. The idea is that they are the main coordinators of the proposals, but also accept collaboration from other councilors, mainly from the progressive camp.

“The three of us share the same electorate, because we share the same vision of the city and politics”, explains Bragante, stating that this was clear at the inauguration, on January 1st. “You know when you arrive for the first day of school and you start looking and recognizing your friends?”

According to her, her new office is opposite Falzoni’s, and people often come to visit both. In her first term, the councilor argues that it is necessary to start debating the city soon, to take advantage of the non-election year, and that “we cannot remain in this shallow ideological debate”.

Bonduki states that the group’s objective is mainly to discuss São Paulo’s adaptation to climate change, presenting co-authored bills and carrying out inspections, for example. “It’s a good time to discuss this, especially because we will have the COP in Belém [em novembro]”, says the urban planner.

Regarding the participation of center-right and right-wing parliamentarians, they state that they have not yet had much contact with other councilors, as the Chamber only returns from recess on February 4th.

Bonduki, who was a councilor for two terms (2001-2004 and 2013-2016), says he has a good dialogue with old names in the House, such as Paulo Frange (MDB) and Carlos Bezerra Jr. (PSDB). Bragante also cites Cris Monteiro (Novo) and Sandra Santana (MDB) as possible allies in this type of agenda, who “would bring a perspective from the periphery”.

In the parties themselves, they mention the names of Eliseu Gabriel (PSB), Luna Zarattini and Hélio Rodrigues (PT), in addition to Amanda Paschoal (PSOL).
