Is it possible to bake without milk and yeast? Of course, they can be an example gluten-free donuts. This is a perfect recipe for everyone who avoids gluten. An additional advantage of this dessert is a very short preparation time. Buy the ingredients you need and try the quick recipe. The donuts are exceptionally tasty and will go great with afternoon coffee. They will appeal to both small and large sweet tooths.
To prepare gluten-free donutsyou will need:
- 150 ml yogurt,
- 2 eggs,
- a teaspoon of vanilla extract,
- 3/4 cup of gluten-free flour,
- half a cup of potato starch,
- a spoon of sugar or xylitol,
- a teaspoon of psyllium husks,
- a flat teaspoon of baking powder,
- frying oil,
- powdered sugar (for decoration).
Pour yogurt, eggs and vanilla extract into a bowl. Beat with a fork, but do not break the eggs too much. In a separate bowl, combine the sifted flour, starch, sugar, psyllium shells and baking powder.
Pour the wet ingredients (from the first bowl) into the dry ingredients (in the second). Mix until combined and a thick, sticky dough is formed. Pour oil into the pot – so that the dough does not touch the bottom after adding it. Preheat to 175 degrees Celsius.
Take a portion of the dough with a spoon – approx. 3/4 tablespoon. With the second spoon, slide the dough into the heated oil. Fry for about 4 minutes on each side so that the gluten-free donuts brown nicely. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to drain the fat. Sprinkle gluten-free donuts with powdered sugar for decoration.
