The police charged a 43-year-old man with the crimes of sexual abuse, the production of child pornography and the distribution of child pornography in conjunction with the crime of possession of child pornography and participation in a child pornography performance. TASR was informed about this by the spokesperson of the Presidium of the Police, Martina Sláviková.
According to the police, the father of two minor daughters repeatedly abused his daughters for a long time to produce child pornography and sexually abused one of the daughters. He distributed the photos on the dark web.
“Several identification teams from around the world, as well as the international police organizations Europol and Interpol, participated in the identification of the perpetrator as part of international cooperation,” the spokeswoman said.
The accused was requested to be taken into custody, which the judge of the Prešov District Court agreed to, according to the police. For this action, the man faces a prison sentence of seven to 12 years.
Police officers from the computer crime department of the Presidium of the Police Force together with members of the Prešov Emergency Police Department and police officers from the Criminal Police Department in Prešov intervened in connection with this case in the Prešov region on Tuesday (January 14).
