The president of the (Supreme Federal Court), will fulfill an international agenda before the Judiciary returns to work. The minister will go to Europe and the United States and, over the next eight days, visit at least five cities: Davos and Zurich in Switzerland, Princeton, New Haven and Boston in the USA.
The STF opens the judicial year on February 3rd.
According to information from the court, this Monday (20), Barroso will meet with Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Europe, Annette Kroeber-Riel, in Davos. On Tuesday (21), he will speak at a session of the World Economic Forum on Brazil.
On Wednesday (22), lecture at Casa Brasil on legal security. On the same day, he participates as a speaker in the forum session on digital security.
In Zurich, on Thursday (23), the president of the STF participates in an event by the Lide group, and speaks about “Brazil’s legal and institutional vision and the effects on the country’s life”.
After that, he takes a tour of North American universities. On the 27th, at Yale, Barroso talks about the functioning of the Brazilian Judiciary. On the 28th, lecture on the role of Supreme Courts in democracies and institutional resistance to authoritarian populism at Princeton University.
The minister ends the trip at Harvard, where he talks about the role of the Brazilian STF.
