What previously seemed unlikely may take on new directions in the coming hours. Negotiations between Santos and Neymar have progressed and the Brazilian national team star is closer to returning to play in Brazil. The information was initially released by the portal “Diário do Peixe” and confirmed by journalists specializing in the transfer market Fabrizio Romano and César Luis Merlo.
According to the portal, the player will be loaned to the São Paulo club initially for six months, the same time as the remaining contract with Al Hilal. Ge.com reported on the possibility of terminating the relationship with the Saudis. However, this termination of the bond is not simple.
There is a financial arrangement to be made, as there are around 65 million dollars (approximately R$400 million) left for Neymar to receive from Al-Hilal and the player is not giving up this amount at this moment, although he wants to be released.
The current contract is valid until the middle of the year and, although everything is lined up with Santos to return, Neymar will need to convince the Arabs about his departure. There is the possibility of payment being extended for more months, facilitating the payment flow for the Arab club.
