The Energy Efficiency Program (PEE) guaranteed, throughout 2024, the replacement of more than 7,300 light bulbs and 238 refrigerators. The objective is to provide guidance on safety, conscious use of electricity and exchange light bulbs for customers benefiting from the Social Tariff program. The action is carried out by Energisa in partnership with the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).
The exchanges take place in the Nossa Energia truck, which is equipped with modern, high-tech devices, and provides experiences on physical and electricity concepts in an interactive way, plasma globe, Tesla coil and multi-touch screen with recreational games about energy efficiency. The program also promotes lectures and the showing of educational videos on safety and reducing consumption.
“Our objective is to provide guidance to the population on how to consume electricity without wasting it and reinforce safety guidelines. The truck is always located in a strategic point in the city”, explains the Energy Efficiency coordinator at Energisa Acre, Thiago Peres.
Thiago highlights that, in addition to the educational lectures, 7,300 fluorescent lamps were also exchanged for efficient LED lamps, which are more economical and last longer, in addition to being sustainable as they do not emit pollutants into the environment and can also be recycled.
“Remember that to participate in the lamp exchange action, you must be a customer of the Electricity Social Tariff Program (TSEE) and present your ID. Each consumer unit can change up to six light bulbs free of charge”, explains Thiago.
With the lamps and refrigerators replaced by the concessionaire last year, the estimate is that 1,578 MWh/year were saved. The energy saved is enough to serve 658 homes with a consumption of 200 kWh/month.
