After carrying out the pre-season in Girona, Spain, Bahia’s main team is ready to debut in 2025. This Thursday (23), the tricolor will host Sampaio Corrêa, at 8pm, at Fonte Nova, for the first round of the Northeast Cup.
For the first official game of the year, coach Rogério Ceni can now count on five of the six reinforcements that the Squadron hired.
Midfielder Erick, midfielders Michel and Rodrigo Nestor, and attackers Willian José and Erick Pulga had their names published in the CBF Daily Newsletter (BID) and are available to the coach. Only defender Santiago Ramos Mingo, who joined the group last week, still depends on the bureaucratic part.

Of the six new tricolor players, four participated in the training game against Girona’s B team, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Willian José and Mingo were left out.
Rogério Ceni, in fact, explained that the 33-year-old center forward arrived physically below the rest of his teammates and should take a little longer to debut.
“It is an assessment of the Group [City] I needed a more experienced player, who makes a good wall. I think he arrives a little lower physically and should take a little longer than the others to debut, both in the Copa do Nordeste and in Baiano”, said the coach during an interview with TNT Sports.
