The Faro Territorial Command of the Republican National Guard (GNR), through the Vila Real de Santo António Territorial Post, identified, last Thursday, a 37-year-old man and seized 144 articles on suspicion of counterfeiting in the town of Monte Gordo , in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António.
The action took place as part of an inspection operation aimed at commercial establishments in the region. During the operation, the military discovered, in one of the establishments, several branded items displayed for sale that appeared to be counterfeit.
The suspect was identified at the scene and the items were seized by authorities. The facts were forwarded to the Judicial Court of Vila Real de Santo António for due legal procedures.
