On the roads in the district of Hlohovec and on II/547 Košické Dargovské hrdinov – Košická Belá there is a glacier, which is also located on the mountain pass (HP) Zbojská. HP Podspády and Huty are covered in places with a layer of compacted snow one centimeter thick, on HP Štós there is frozen snow one centimeter thick. Slovak Road Administration (SSC) informs about it on its website zjazdnost.sk.
“All monitored highway sections and expressways in the territory of the Slovak Republic are passable, the surface of the roads is mostly wet. Routes I., II. and III. classes are passable, the surface of the roads is mostly dry to wet, in places at higher altitudes covered with a layer of slushy or compacted snow one to three centimeters thick,” brought closer by SSC.
Mountain passes are skiable with restrictions, the road surface is mostly wet. At the same time, the SSC warns of fog with visibility up to 50 meters in the locations of Iliašovce, Švábovská stráň, Poprad – Airport and Myjava, and up to 100 meters in the location of Lipany. “Watch out for freezing drizzle in the Bratislava area – high risk of ice formation,” added SSC.
