According to reports in the reform-oriented newspaper, 37-year-old Amir Tataloo, one of the most famous representatives of Iranian rap and originally supported by conservative circles, is Advances was sentenced to death in an appeal process for insulting the Prophet Mohammed. The decision followed an appeal against a previous five-year prison sentence that Tataloo had received for blasphemy and other charges such as spreading “obscene content” and alleged propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
