During the meeting with the departments, Lula highlighted the need to guarantee “cheap food on the worker’s table” and admitted that food costs are high. “If we worked on reconstruction and unity, now we have to work on something else important: reconstruction, unity and cheap food on the worker’s table”, said the president.
Thinking from the worker’s perspective, the president who is food security is the government’s responsibility. “Food is expensive on the worker’s table. Every minister knows that food is expensive and it is our task to ensure that food reaches the table of working people, housewives, and the table of the Brazilian people in conditions compatible with the salary they earn”, expressed the PT member.
