The government () is studying the possibility of building two executive airports that will begin operating this year. The idea is to stimulate tourism in the state during the (Climate Change Conference), which takes place in the capital of Pará in November.

The initiative is being articulated by the ministers (Tourism) and (Ports and Airports). The project foresees that the two airports will be built in areas provided by the state government: one in the metropolitan region of Belém and the other in .
