The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested a man, this Sunday (19), for assault against his 6 year old stepson with a broomstick.
The crime occurred last Saturday night (18), in Morro dos Macacos, in the north of Rio.
The author, captured in a joint action between civil police officers from the 20th Police District, Vila Isabel, and military police officers, confessed to the attacks during the approach.
The attacker, following reports from neighbors, was located at his residence, where the victim, the boy, was helped by her maternal grandmother.
According to the Police, the man “was charged with torture, in accordance with the Lei Henry do Borel”and remains at the disposal of Justice.
