Prime Minister Fico will also meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. Robert Kaliňák, Denisa Saková and Juraj Blanár also flew to Turkey.
The Prime Minister of the SR Robert Fico (Smer-SD) left on Monday morning for an official visit to the Republic of Turkey. He is accompanied by a delegation of ministers and businessmen. The main goal of the trip is to confirm the quality of bilateral relations between Slovakia and Turkey and to raise them to the level of a strategic partnership.
In Ankara, Fico will meet with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They will discuss the intensification of economic cooperation between the two countries, but also the current situation in the world. Several bilateral agreements will be signed during the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Robert Kaliňák (Smer-SD), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (Hlas-SD) and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) flew to visit Turkey with the Prime Minister.
As part of the visit, the prime minister will also take part in the solemn act of laying a wreath at the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
