Melbourne – Tennis world number two Iga Swiatek was able to breathe a double sigh of relief on Monday after her smooth 6-0, 6-1 victory over German Eva Lys. The World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) announced that it will not appeal the Pole’s doping case to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas). Swiatek served a one-month ban from the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) in the fall after she was found to have had the drug trimetazidine.
