Kevin Costner celebrated his 70th birthday on Saturday, January 18. And he used the opportunity to pay tribute to the late singer Whitney Houston, with whom he starred in the movie Bodyguard. The Yellowstone star has admitted that she considers herself very lucky to still be alive, almost thirteen years after her close friend died.
“This photo reminds me how lucky I am to have another birthday. When we lost Whitney, we lost a great light,Kevin wrote on the day of his seventieth birthday to a photo of Whitney Houston.
Costner also paid tribute to the famous singer at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place as the world commemorated the tenth anniversary of her death. Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012 after taking a large amount of cocaine, when she lost consciousness and fell face down into a bathtub full of water and drowned.
