After the suspension of the impeachment vote, President Augusto Melo made blunt statements about Romeu Tuma, who presides over the Corinthians Deliberative Council.
“He’s a completely biased guy, working for them and advocating for his own cause. He didn’t let us defend ourselves, he’s a dictator. It’s time to end. Corinthians is in this situation because there is a guy like that presiding over the (Deliberative) Council. He is no longer able to preside over the Council. My lawyers will take care of it”, declared Augusto Melo about the situation
“Now, this Corinthians policy is very dirty. Corinthians is in this situation because there are people like that here, especially some advisors. Until these guys are banned from Corinthians, we will never get out of this”, said the current president of Corinthians. See video below!
Suspension of Augusto Melo’s impeachment
. The decision came after voting lasted more than four hours.
Before the impeachment process begins, . Therefore, a vote took place to decide whether or not a vote should take place to remove Augusto Melo from the presidency of Corinthians.
Then, the continuation of the process won by 126 people in favor against 114 people against.
A new meeting to continue the process will be scheduled. There is still no time and date for the new election to take place.
