Azulão reached the group stage of the tournament after playing two games in the pre-Nordestão, against Barcelona de Ilhéus and Maracanã-CE. They won both, both by a score of 1×0, at home. In the state, the team has nine points and is in the lead.
Dragão entered directly into the group stage of the regional competition, after winning the Sergipano title in 2024. The team is committed to the state competition in 2025, with two wins in two games.
