Potatoes, cheese, meat, cucumbers, onion, mayonnaise, mustard… This combination sounds very rich, right? Woodcutter’s Salad will definitely make sure no one at your party goes hungry. Prepare it and be sure that your guests will ask for the recipe.
To prepare the salad you will need the following ingredients:
- 8 potatoes,
- 2 pickled cucumbers, a little juice,
- 200 g of yellow cheese,
- 150 g raw smoked bacon,
- 2 Żywiec sausages,
- 1 red onion,
- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
- 1 tablespoon of mustard,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- fresh parsley.
Cut the sausage into slices and then into thin strips. Then pour some pickled cucumber juice over them. Set aside while preparing the salad.
Peel the potatoes, wash them and then cook them in salted water until al dente. Set aside to cool. Cut the bacon into slices and fry in a pan without adding fat. It should turn golden on both sides. Then cut it into slices. Cut the cheese into cubes and the pickled cucumbers into slices.
Chop the washed onion finely. Cut the cooled potatoes into slices, they can be slightly thicker than the other ingredients. Mix the drained sausage, bacon, yellow cheese, pickled cucumbers and onion in a bowl. Stir in the potatoes gently.
Now add mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper. Combine the ingredients. Put the salad in the fridge and before serving, chop fresh parsley and decorate the plate with it.
