Former deputy mayor of , Fleur Hassan-Nahoum will be one of the speakers at this year’s edition of the Freedom Forum, the country’s main liberal event.
Promoted by IEE (Institute of Business Studies), the Forum will take place on April 3 and 4 at PUC-RS, in Porto Alegre.
A women’s rights activist, Fleur ended her term in March 2024. She defends economic development through a pluralistic perspective for the city, which is sacred to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and is therefore the scene of political and religious conflicts.

The theme of the Forum this year will be “Courage to Choose”. In 2024, the event brought together more than 6,000 people, including businesspeople, students and leaders from different segments, a record audience.
