Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán published a short video on Facebook during the inauguration of the new US President Donald Trump on Monday. In it, he stated, among other things, that the world will change, which will be good for Hungarians. Late in the evening on platform X, he congratulated Trump and added that the time had come to “occupy Brussels”, reports TASR correspondent in Budapest.
“Congratulations to Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America! Now it’s our turn to shine! It’s our turn to occupy Brussels!” wrote Orbán.
The fight between the United States and the European Union will begin on Tuesday, the Hungarian Prime Minister announced on Monday morning in a speech at a conference on Hungary’s presidency of the Council of the European Union last year. “During the Hungarian presidency, Trump and Western patriots began to reshape the Western world. The key powers of the world are now creating the economic and political frameworks in which we will live in the future,” added Orbán.
