The Menstrual Dignity Program has already benefited approximately nine thousand people who are in a situation of social vulnerability, with the distribution of 773 thousand pads, with an investment of R$415.4 thousand, in the year 2024 alone, in the state of Acre.
Around the country, more than 2.1 million people have already benefited from the project, with 240.3 million sanitary pads delivered, totaling an investment of 119.7 million by the Ministry of Health.
The project was launched on January 17, 2024, and aims to combat “menstrual poverty” by ensuring access to essential hygiene items.
To collect the pads, it is mandatory to present the authorization available on the Meu SUS Digital app, which is valid for 180 days. It is also necessary to carry an official document with photo and CPF. In the case of minors under 16, withdrawal must be made by a legal guardian.
