Initiative with Qualcomm Technologies aims to raise funds to fight AIDS and other diseases
Manchester United on Monday (20.Jan.2025) partnered with the charity (RED) to promote a global health cause. This collaboration will be highlighted in the Premier League game against West Ham United, scheduled for May 10, 2025, and the women’s team clash against Arsenal on May 11, 2025.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase limited edition Manchester United shirts featuring the (RED) logo and other exclusive pieces, with proceeds going to the Global Fund, plus an additional donation from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
(), based in the USA, is known for raising funds to fight AIDS and other diseases. The initiative is part of the club’s agreement with Qualcomm Technologies, which became a sponsor of Manchester United in 2023, replacing TeamViewer. The agreement gives Qualcomm the right to choose a charity to replace the Snapdragon logo in one match per season.
In August 2024, it was revealed that Qualcomm had activated its 2-year extension option to its sponsorship agreement, which guarantees the partnership until 2029. The current agreement involves an annual payment of US$75 million, bringing the total value of the Qualcomm’s investment in Manchester United to US$375 million over 5 years, according to .
