Unlike previous anniversaries, there will be an event open to activists, without entry fees, to celebrate the party’s 45th anniversary, next month.
Around 2,000 people are expected at Armazém da Utopia, in Rio de Janeiro, on the 21st and 22nd of February. Interested parties just need to register on the party website.

There will be debates with national and international themes, a solidarity economy fair and cultural presentations. The icing on the cake will be the presence of Rio samba schools.
The grandeur of the event is due to the round anniversary date (45 years) and the fact that 2025 is the prelude to the next presidential election. According to the company’s own guidance, this year will be one of preparation and that is why the event’s slogan, “Roots in the People, Eyes on the Future”, makes a reference to 2026.
The president’s presence has not yet been confirmed. If he is present, a dinner may also be held with an entrance fee, to help pay the costs of the party. According to the party’s treasurer, the budget is being finalized.
