Under the new rules, companies will allow non-profit organizations and specialized public entities to monitor the analysis of hate speech reports. Platforms must evaluate at least 2/3 of these reports within 24 hours.
Measures include using automatic detection tools to reduce harmful content and providing information about recommendation systems and the reach of illegal content before its removal.
The Digital Services Law, in force since November 2024, establishes new rules for digital platforms operating in the EU. The legislation provides for fines of up to 6% of global revenue for companies that do not comply with the provisions.
