Have you heard that a healthy diet is too expensive, you have to cut out gluten, sweeten with honey instead of sugar and avoid carbohydrates? And what if it’s not actually true at all?

There are so many myths associated with weight loss and diets that a comprehensive book could be written about them. Let’s disprove at least some of them together. You will find that it will help you a lot on your way to a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy food is expensive

If you look for events and buy seasonal foods, your budget will definitely support it.

  • Always compile menu for example for a week in advance (ideally in cooperation with the leaflets of hypermarkets where you normally go).
  • Perishable foods (rice, pasta, pulses, etc.) buy to stock up when they are on offer at a discounted price.
  • Definitely at that time of year replace part of fresh vegetables and fruits with frozen products. Even in frozen form, these foods retain good nutritional value and quite possibly save you a lot of money.

It is necessary to stop gluten

If you do not suffer from an intolerance or allergy to gluten, you do not have to avoid it in any way. On the contrary! Gluten-free foods are not healthier at any cost. They will certainly be more expensive in many cases and you would be spending money completely unnecessarily. More than gluten, it pays to watch out for added sugars and salt content.

Use honey or cane sugar instead of white sugar

There is no such thing as “healthier” sugar. If you overdo it, white sugar will harm you just as much as brown sugar. Maybe honey or cane sugar contains some vitamins and minerals, but in the recommended amount per day it is a relatively small amount. Definitely not a dose that could fundamentally affect your health.

It gets fat after fat

Your weight will go up if you take in more energy than you put out. And under the circumstances, it doesn’t really matter if you get that energy from fats, carbohydrates or proteins. Deny yourself fats in addition, it means depriving the body of substances it needs in certain quantities to ensure all metabolic processes and also to produce important hormones.

Watch out for carbs!

We would actually be repeating ourselves a bit here. Carbohydrates alone are not responsible for weight gain. You should just watch what types of carbohydrates you consume. Pay particular attention to added sugars, they should really only appear sporadically in your diet.

You must not eat after seven in the evening

Your body does not know a clock in the traditional sense of the word. It has its own time rhythm and you should be in with it compliance. Those who go to bed at midnight can quite logically have dinner at seven or eight in the evening. Otherwise, his stomach will growl at eleven and there is a risk that he will succumb to some temptations in the form of French fries or chips. Remember that you should eat a good, balanced diet at the appropriate time of the day, i.e. at a time that best suits your schedule.

Choose low-fat or fat-free foods

Just because the label says “fat-free” or “low-fat” doesn’t mean that product deserves a place on your plate because it will help you lose weight. Always pay attention to the composition of food and remember that in the case of a low-fat product, the absence of fat is often balanced by a dose of carbohydrates.

A healthy lifestyle is primarily based on the use of common sense. Don’t let yourself be drawn into the abyss of myths and lies.
