As soon as this date on the calendar passes, I crush 1 cube and pour 10 liters of water. I water my hydrangeas with it and they thank me. In summer, flower upon flower grows. Fertilizer for hydrangeas

I crush the more expensive ones and pour water over them. In April, I water the hydrangea with it

Hydrangeas are shrubs that dominate many Polish gardens. Depending on the species, hydrangea blooms from June to September. Its flowers are large and impressive. In order for the hydrangea to bloom luxuriantly, it must be cared for regularly. This is a necessary condition to enjoy beautiful flowers in the summer. Homemade fertilizers and conditioners are great for hydrangea care. Hydrangea bushes can be fertilized with coffee grounds and banana peels. My grandmother fertilized her hydrangeas with yeast fertilizer. It is a simple fertilizer that is suitable for watering ornamental trees and shrubs.

How to prepare yeast fertilizer for hydrangeas?

Just cover 100 g of fermented yeast with two cups of sugar and set aside for about 2 hours. When the sugar dissolves completely, pour water over the whole thing. Yeast fertilizer for hydrangeas will be ready after a few days. Before watering, dilute it with water in the proportions of 1 cup of fertilizer per 10 liters of water.

What are the benefits of watering hydrangeas with yeast fertilizer?

Yeast is a valuable source of many vitamins and microelements, such as B1, B2, B3, magnesium and potassium. They not only act as, but also stimulate plants to grow better. Yeast fertilizer will strengthen the root system of plants, encourage more abundant flowering and facilitate the absorption of water from the soil. Importantly, yeast also protects against microorganisms and bacteria and prevents many diseases to which plants are exposed.

You can prepare this hydrangea fertilizer in winter

Early spring is the time when it begins intensely. In this way, they become stronger and the vegetation processes are accelerated. In the case of hydrangeas, an orange peel is a great way to quickly nourish them. It contains a number of nutrients such as potassium, iron, zinc, calcium and citrate. They support the growth and flowering processes and improve soil morphology, providing plants with the need for microelements. You can start preparing your home-made hydrangea conditioner in winter. Thanks to this, you will be able to use it in early spring. Just cut the orange peel into small pieces and put them in the oven at 130 degrees. Dry them this way for about 1.5 hours and then grind them into powder. Transfer everything to an airtight jar. You can add a new supply of ground orange peels from time to time. When the garden season begins, sprinkle the powder around the hydrangea and mix it with the soil. Orange peels will deter pests, including aphids. Additionally, this conditioner will leaven the soil and provide the hydrangeas with the necessary nutrients.
