Representatives from Acre and other states belonging to the Amazon and Pantanal biome region were summoned by Minister Flávio Dino, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), to discuss action plans to combat fires and deforestation.
The hearing will be held on March 13th, with the participation of members of the Federal Government. The decision was handed down this Tuesday (21).
According to the magazine’s findings Lookthe meeting will include debates on three plans already presented by the Union on previous occasions, in addition to verifying compliance with deadlines, goals and coordination between the Federal Government and the states.
Dino determined that the states — Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia, Roraima, Pará, Maranhão, Amapá, Tocantins, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul — adopt some measures within 30 calendar days, including carrying out internal studies through their bodies to identify the need to increase the number of environmental analysts.
Among the determinations is also the definition of the qualifications necessary to carry out activities related to the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) and environmental regularization.
O ContilNet contacted Palácio Rio Branco to find out who will represent the State at the meeting. The Secretary of Communication, Nayara Lessa, informed that the government is in negotiations to define whether Governor Gladson Cameli will participate in the agenda or send a representative.
