Dagmar Havlová, actress and former first lady, lives in a luxurious villa in Prague’s Střešovice. The impressive residence was built in 1929 and originally belonged to the architect Rudolf Eisler.
Václav Havel bought the villa with his first wife Olga in 1993, at that time for an astronomical 30 million crowns. According to real estate expert Dušan Měchura, its current value is estimated at 100 to 150 million crowns, which indicates the attractiveness of the location and the historical value of the property.
Villa district Ořechovka
The villa is located in Dělostřelecká street and at first glance it may seem inconspicuous among the other houses in the area. However, upon closer inspection, it is evident that this will not be just any ordinary property. There is no parking in front of the house and there are cameras on the fence.

Dagmar Havlová carefully guards her privacy and does not show much of the interior of her home in public. In 2021, she complained on social media about tourists gathering in front of her house and invading her privacy. However, some time ago, she shared some photos on social media that gave a little insight into the interior of this magnificent residence.
Interior of the villa
The equipment of the villa is in the spirit of the first republic. The dominant feature is a beautiful wooden staircase surrounded by paintings, which gives the space a historical atmosphere. The bathroom is lined with white tiles, typical of the time the house was built, and is complemented by colorful decorations.
The history of the Havel family in the villa
After the Velvet Revolution, in 1995, the villa underwent extensive reconstruction under the direction of architect Bořek Šípek. Her goal was to preserve the original character of the building and adapt it to the needs of the new owners. The lower floor became the space of Olga Havelová, who played a significant role in its furnishing. Václav Havel had his study and library on the upper floor. After the death of Olga Havlová, Dagmar Havlová moved into the villa in 1996, who still lives here today.
According to real estate expert Dušan Měchura, today the villa is worth between 100 and 150 million crowns, which testifies to the attractiveness of the location and the historical value of the property. Prague 6 has long been considered one of the most desirable areas in Prague, which is also reflected in real estate prices in this location.
