How about enjoying a healthy, vegan and gluten-free side dish for a change? Preparation is incredibly easy and quick. And it can also serve as a main course.
Basic ingredients – potatoes
Prepare them according to the number of people or estimated portions, if there are any left over, they can be reheated later. Peel and cut into smaller moons or cubes. The shape does not change their taste. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add smoked paprika and freshly chopped garlic, you can also replace it with garlic sprinkled from a bag. Mix well in a bowl so that the spices and olive oil adhere well to the potatoes.
Pour from the bowl onto the baking sheet and put it in the oven. Bake for about 30 minutes. Yes, it’s that simple, preparation takes about 10 minutes.

Without salt and pepper? It works!
Pepper and salt are notorious seasonings. As a rule, if you don’t salt a dish at all, or if you don’t salt it, it simply doesn’t taste good. Here, however, smoked paprika took over the role of an excellent seasoning. The dish tastes delicious with it, it has a sweet taste with a smoky finish. We tried it and we can say that it is truly a delicacy.
Advice, tips, tricks
- If you are not a fan of any pepper, even the smoked one recommended in the recipe, you can replace it with other spices. Rosemary or oregano goes well with potatoes.
- Why use significantly more expensive olive oil instead of its very cheap sunflower counterpart? Think about your health! Olive oil stimulates the digestive system. It can keep cholesterol and sugar levels in check.
- Don’t forget to line the baking tray with baking paper. Otherwise, the potatoes will overcook and you’ll end up scrubbing.
