PF collected evidence that they committed crimes of disobedience, malfeasance, restriction on the exercise of the right to vote, participation (by omission) in the crime of attempting to abolish the Democratic Rule of Law
The Federal Police indicted four former directors and coordinators of the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on charges of trying to hinder or prevent, in 2022, the movement of potential voters for then-presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Those indicted are: Luis Carlos Reischak Juniorformer Director of Intelligence and former Superintendent of the PRF in Rio Grande do Sul; Rodrigo Cardozo Hoppeformer Deputy Director of Intelligence; Djairlon Henrique Moura, former Director of Operations and Adiel Pereira Alcantara.
Bruno Nonato dos Santos Pereiraformer general coordinator of Intelligence and Counterintelligence at the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), was also indicted.
During the investigation, the Federal Police collected evidence that they committed the following crimes: disobedience; malfeasance (when a public agent disregards the law by acting or omitting to act); restriction on the exercise of voting rights; participation (by omission) in the crime of attempting to abolish the Democratic Rule of Law.
The indictment was sent to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in December, but had not been released until then. The conclusions were revealed this Wednesday (22) by UOL and confirmed by TV Globo.
In August 2024, the PF had already indicted the former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres, the former director of the PRF Silvinei Vasques and four federal police officers assigned to the Ministry of Justice, all for trying to prevent the movement of voters in the Northeast region to the locations of voting.
