The information is contained in the magistrates’ remuneration panel organized by the National Council of Justice (CNJ).
The minister who received the biggest payout (mentioned above) was Sergio Pinto Martins, followed by Ives Gandra da Silva Martins Filho, with R$404 thousand; and Evandro Pereira Valadão, who received R$400,000 in the month.

This amount includes earnings related to Christmas bonuses, vacations and cumulative exercise bonuses. But the boost came under the heading “retroactive payments”, with amounts that reached R$536 thousand.

Despite the high earnings, the members of the Court were also freed from paying income tax on the majority of the income received.
The taxation on the excess of the magistrates’ paycheck, which should be applied to anything exceeding R$44,000, remains safe from the Federal Revenue on the grounds that it is ‘funds of an indemnity nature’.
