Trans women must prove their gender in order to retire earlier

The Supreme Court (OGH) has decided on the question under which criteria a trans woman can retire earlier. In this specific case, a person born as a man in 1962 changed his gender in the civil status register to “female” in March 2023 and immediately applied to the pension insurance company for an earlier start of retirement.
