The president of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Wednesday, 22, that, if there is no agreement to end the “ridiculous” conflict between Russia and Ukraine, he will have “no other choice but to impose high levels of taxes, tariffs and sanctions on anything sold by Russia to the United States.”
“Let’s end this war, which would never have started if I were president, once and for all! We can solve this the easy way or the hard way – and the easy way is always better”, published the US president on his own social network, Truth Social.
In the same post, Trump called on countries to negotiate and reach a solution, warning that the conflict “will only get worse” if it is not resolved quickly.
“I’m going to do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin, a big favor,” wrote the Republican. “I’m not trying to harm Russia. I love the Russian people and I have always had a very good relationship with President Putin. We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War”, he added.
