Danish right-wing MEP Anders Vistisen sent a harsh message to US President Donald Trump during a speech this Tuesday (21), at the European Parliament.

“Dear President Trump, listen carefully! Greenland has been part of the Kingdom of Denmark for 800 years. It is an inalienable part of our country. She is not for sale. Let me put it in a way you can understand: Mr. Trump, f*ck you,” he said.
The mediator stated that “if the translation is correct, the term you used is not allowed in this House”, and warned: “there will be consequences for the message you used.”

Trump said on January 7 that Greenland should become part of the United States. According to him, the region is strategically important for national security and also for protecting the “free world”, including from China and Russia.
Greenland’s Prime Minister Mute Egede also stated that the island is not for sale and will never be sold. Trump, in turn, did not commit to not using military force to control the territory.
“We are Greenlanders. We don’t want to be Americans. We don’t want to be Danish either. The future of Greenland will be decided by Greenland,” the premier said during a press conference, noting that the island faced a “difficult situation.”
