The match, held at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, in Bologna, Italy, was marked by an exciting comeback from the home team, who won for the first time in the tournament.
Borussia Dortmund opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the first half, with Serhou Guirassy converting a penalty. However, Bologna showed resilience and managed to turn things around in the second half. Thijs Dallinga equalized in the 25th minute, and just a minute later, Samuel Iling-Junior scored the winning goal for the Italians.
This victory represents an important milestone for Bologna, being their first in the league. With the result, the Italian team reached 5 points in the competition, but still occupies 27th place in the general classification and should not be able to reach the knockout stages of the tournament.
