“This is a clock brought by Dom João 6° that was attacked and we then recovered, it is here in my living room” he says in the video. “The clock symbolizes the victory of democracy against January 8th. So every time this clock rings, and it rings every hour, I think we have to celebrate because democracy has been reestablished in Brazil.”

In total, 20 works attacked in the episode were restored in a laboratory with specialists created at Palácio da Alvorada and will be reintegrated into the Presidency’s collection.

The historical item was gifted to the monarch by the court of Louis 14, of France, in the 17th century, and brought to Brazil in 1808.
