The Murcia newspaper reports that the victim was shot while defending his daughter and that the attacker had a restraining order against his ex-partner due to previous abuse. The arrested person, who worked in the past as a private security guard, had two pistols seized after the crime.

Two ambulances from 061 went to the scene and the paramedics tried to revive the victim, without success, so they finally withdrew while waiting for the arrival of the judicial authorities and the forensic doctor.
