an audio and music company, raised US$40 million in a Series A financing round led by Connect Ventures, a partnership between CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and NEA.
Based in the United States, Music.AI emerged from Moises, a startup founded by Brazilians in 2019. Initially a music editing app for consumers, the platform now offers AI solutions for companies. Moises, which has attracted more than 50 million users and was recognized as Apple’s iPad App of the Year in 2024, has expanded its functionality to include advanced tools for musicians, producers and content creators.
Geraldo Ramos, CEO of Music.AI, highlighted that the investment reinforces the company’s impact on the creative industry. Connect Ventures’ Michael Blank highlighted Music.AI’s ethical approach, which aims to adequately compensate creators for the use of their works. “The company is helping to transform the creative process and becoming the trusted AI platform for the music industry,” he said.
Music.AI also received support from investors such as Eric Acher, from monashees, who highlighted the company’s relevance in Latin America, a hub of creativity. Furthermore, the platform commits to embedded AI, offering greater performance and privacy, as well as reducing cloud dependence. In 2023, the company expanded its portfolio to include generative solutions such as singing voice modeling and assistive music creation.
