According to the survey, Rio’s rubro-negro – which is also the only South American on the list – has an estimated revenue of 198.2 million euros, around R$1.2 billion. This is the first time that the team appears among the 30 richest clubs in the world since the 1996/1997 season. Last year, Fla came close to the list and was 6 million euros behind Everton, 30th at the time.
Entitled “Football Money League”, the Deloitte study is released annually and only takes into account clubs’ recurring revenues, without counting money received from player sales. Deloitte also believes that the impact of the 2025 Club World Cup will be significant for clubs outside Europe, such as Flamengo.
