On Monday, January 21, Slovak MEP Milan Uhrík (Europe of Sovereign Nations/Republic) outraged not only other MEPs, but also almost all of Slovakia. During a debate about disinformation, one of his colleagues disagreed with his opinion. However, Uhřík did not like that. “Shut up, please (Shut up, please, editor’s note),” he responded sharply.
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsolová, does not intend to tolerate such statements and immediately took action. “Mr. Uhrík, you can’t tell your colleagues to shut up, even if you don’t agree with them. I’m interrupting you,” she said, and Uhrik’s microphone was sharply turned off.
The majority of the public commented on his statement as another shame for Slovakia. The actor also expressed his opinion on the social network Big Juraj (40).
“Yes, and this is the level presented by our politicians not only at home, but also on the floor of the European Parliament,” he commented on the video below. He later posted a sarcastic quote from the writer Franz Kafka. “One idiot is one idiot. Two idiots are two idiots. Ten thousand idiots is a political party,” wrote.
