What was Richard Ríos’ provocation?
In Santos’ first goal, scored by Guilherme, the player imitated Neymar and made a signature gesture. The Peixe athlete did not confirm that it was for the star, but it was understood.
When scoring Palmeiras’ winning goal, Ríos made the same signature gesture. Some fans understood that this would be a form of provocation both for Neymar’s arrival and for Guilherme’s goal.
In the post-game interview, he was asked what it meant. Ríos denied that it was some kind of provocation.
