Partnership between Motorpor and CEPRA brings specialized training to the Algarve

Motorpor and CEPRA (Automobile Repair Professional Training Center) have established a collaboration protocol that reinforces the commitment of both entities to technical qualification and professional development in the automotive sector. This agreement resulted in the opening of a CEPRA Delegation in Faro, installed in infrastructure provided by Motorpor.

The provision of fixed facilities by Motorpor, duly adapted, enables CEPRA, with a national scope, to offer technical training in the region, responding to local qualification needs.

The first training action, entitled Active Life in Bodywork Repairbegan on Monday, January 20th. This course, lasting seven months, has 14 trainees selected with the support of the IEFP Regional Delegation, through the Faro Employment and Professional Training Center, from a total of more than 60 candidates.

For Antonio Caldeira, director of CEPRA, “the opening of this new Delegation is an extremely relevant milestone for CEPRA, which reinforces its ability to develop training throughout the continental territory. It is even more so, as it is a region where professional training needs are well known”.

Manuel Coutinho, CEO of Motorpor, highlighted: “We are convinced that this new training center will serve not only Motorpor, but also the entire region, providing it with the technical capacity so necessary in a sector undergoing profound transformation”.

For the course of the year, ongoing training activities for professionals are already planned, covering areas such as electric vehicles, mechatronics, body repairs, car painting, among others. In addition, it is planned to start other initial training aimed at people looking for their first job.

This protocol reflects Motorpor’s commitment to the sustainable development of the region, reinforcing the importance of qualifying the local workforce and contributing to the growth and modernization of the automotive sector in the Algarve.
