According to investigations, criminal groups imposed routines of terror on local inhabitants due to the dispute over territory, carrying out actions such as robbery, homicides, extortion and the expansion of organized crime.

In a dispute for power, criminal groups have been involved in a factional war for control of the region.

According to the Civil Police, the first phase of this operation, which took place at the beginning of January, managed to capture most of the criminals involved in the territorial dispute. Now, the deployment aims to capture the remaining criminals. Due diligence continues.
