The Union recommended to the city of , the app platforms and the company that manages the international airport in the capital of Pará that areas be created for passengers to board and disembark by app drivers at the air terminal.
The objective is to improve traffic organization during the UN conference on climate change, which will take place in November.
The recommendation, from the regional Human Rights defender in Pará, Marcos Wagner Alves Teixeira, was sent to the mayor of Belém, Igor Normando (MDB), to Semob (Executive Superintendence of Urban Mobility), to the concessionaire SPE Novo Norte Aeroportos and to the Uber platforms , inDrive and 99.
“The lack of organization, inspection, signage and the difference in the number of spaces for different modes of transport causes disorder in the boarding and disembarking of passengers at Belém International Airport, as users of private cars, taxi drivers and app drivers use the same place to drop off or pick up your passengers”, indicates the letter.
The recommendation considers that transport via apps is an alternative to optimize travel, reduce congestion and promote more sustainable practices in cities.
The DPU gave 15 days for the bodies and companies involved to respond to the recommendation.
