The concession signing event for the so-called ‘Rodovia of Death’ this Wednesday (22) was marked by criticism from the federal government of the opposition and state governors, in addition to a comparison of the president () to Jesus Christ.
The president’s speech referred to his negotiation of state debts. In his speeches, Lula directly criticized the governor of Minas Gerais, the state that benefited from the highway concession.
From the president’s perspective, the state representative should have attended the event and “brought him a trophy” for negotiating with the opposition leaders. “What we did for the states that didn’t pay their debt, perhaps only Jesus Christ would do, if he ran for president of the Republic of that country,” he said.
