of public services in the state of São Paulo, Arsesp created a benefit for those in command positions to purchase smartphones and tablets. The aid varies from R$6,000 to R$9,000, depending on the role.
The penduricalho was established by decree released this Tuesday (21) by the agency, linked to the government of (Republicans).
The agency’s six directors are potential beneficiaries, in addition to the executive secretary, eight superintendents, ombudsman, inspector and “employees authorized by the Board of Directors”. A director’s remuneration reaches R$34,000, according to the state’s Transparency Portal.
In the decree, Arsesp justifies the measure by “the need to use computer equipment to improve professional skills and their exercise, offering greater efficiency, practicality, quick access to information, agile communication, both within the agency and at events outside, on trips and in meetings”.
The benefit is paid through reimbursement to the server, upon presentation of the purchase invoice.
According to the decision, the refund covers the product’s extended warranty, the cost of the telephone plan and even the purchase of accessories, such as cases, pens, stands or keyboards.
The value cannot exceed the established ceiling, even if the device costs more. It is also not possible to purchase more than one device per category (smartphone and tablet). If Arsesp is terminated in less than a year, the refund will need to be returned.
After three years, the employee will be able to buy a new device, obtaining a new reimbursement, due to the “constant technological evolution” of the equipment.
The benefit is prohibited to retired or dismissed employees and also to those assigned to other bodies or institutions.
When contacted through its consultancy, Arsesp did not respond until the publication of this text.
